Establish baselines for hardware and software configurations at key program milestones (NPI, EVT/DVT/PVT, production release). Process Development & Continuous Improvement: Define and document standard work for change request intake, impact assessment, approval routing, and release. Identify bottlenecks in the change control lifecycle and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time without compromising rigor. Train cross-functional stakeholders on change control tools, workflows, and documentation requirements. Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Engineering to assess the impact of proposed changes on form, fit, function, cost, and schedule. Work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to align change implementation timing with production schedules, inventory, and supplier lead times. Collaborate with Quality to ensure changes tie into CAPA, NCR, and deviation processes where applicable. Reporting & Traceability: Maintain full traceability of ECRs/ECNs/ECOs from initiation through disposition and closure. Generate regular reports and dashboards on change control metrics (cycle time, open/aging changes, approval bottlenecks) for leadership visibility.
