About the Role

1. Project Management – Customer Projects / Prototype / PPAP:• Coordinate and track new customer projects from project initiation and requirement clarification through prototype, PPAP and production handover. • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, deliverables, responsibilities and timing with all stakeholders. • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of the required product and project documentation. • Track project status, open actions, dependencies, risks and escalations; drive timely closure. • Coordinate availability of components, production parts and resources with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Quality. • Coordinate prototype/PPAP inspections with PUQ/QMM and ensure required documentation is completed. • Manage project handover to regular production and ensure outstanding actions are clearly assigned and closed.2. Product Portfolio Management – Hydraulic Gear Pumps:• Coordinate product portfolio activities for hydraulic external gear pumps, including standard, high-performance and low-noise product families as applicable. • Maintain product/project status, customer application information, product availability, lifecycle milestones and key documentation. • Coordinate product changes, localization, product transfers and portfolio updates with responsible engineering, manufacturing and quality teams without owning detailed design activities. • Collect customer and market requirements with Sales/Product RM and translate them into product/project priorities for relevant functions. • Support product cost competitiveness, value improvement, standardization and product portfolio optimization. • Coordinate product information and lessons learned across India and global product stakeholders.3.Prototype Lead-Time and Delivery Improvement:• Identify bottlenecks in prototype manufacturing, component availability, inspection and delivery. • Coordinate improvement actions to reduce prototype manufacturing and delivery turnaround time. • Monitor prototype and PPAP on-time delivery and escalate risks to the relevant stakeholders. • Promote structured project reviews and continuous improvement of project execution processes.4.Project Costing, Budget and Resource Coordination• Support costing calculations and commercial estimates for prototype and PPAP projects with relevant functions. • Prepare and consolidate project-related cost, resource and billing inputs for annual business planning as required. • Monitor project expenditure, resource requirements and cost-optimization opportunities. • Coordinate resource and capacity planning with relevant teams to meet committed project timing.5.Inventory and Material Coordination• Identify and review non-moving and slow-moving inventory related to project and product requirements. • Coordinate measurable actions for inventory reduction, reuse, transfer or disposition with Planning, Purchasing, Finance and Manufacturing. • Ensure components required for prototypes, PPAP and transfer projects are planned and available on time6.VA/VE and Endurance Project Coordination• Coordinate VA/VE and endurance project schedules, priorities, resource availability and stakeholder inputs. • Track planned test activities and status with Validation/Endurance teams; follow up on results and open actions required for project decisions. • Consolidate project status and escalate schedule, resource or delivery risks.7.Stakeholder and Customer Coordination• Act as the coordination interface for project status, product availability, delivery commitments and product-related requests. • Organize project reviews and ensure timely communication of decisions, risks, changes and action owners. • Coordinate with customers/OEMs, Sales/PRM, global product teams, suppliers and internal functions to support project closure. • Ensure customer feedback and recurring issues are captured and routed to the appropriate technical or quality owners8.Process Governance, Documentation and 5S• Maintain project plans, meeting minutes, milestone trackers, risk/action logs, cost records and handover documentation. • Ensure project documentation and product records are complete, accurate and available to stakeholders. • Support adherence to agreed project governance, escalation processes and internal procedures. • Ensure 5S is maintained in the prototype hanger/work area where applicable.9.Product Transfer and Localization• Coordinate transfer of new products (pumps) to the HejP product portfolio, including localization activities. • Coordinate with Germany, India Plant and other stakeholders to achieve transfer milestones and readiness. • Coordinate for pump transfer projects, tracking documentation, component readiness, quality approvals and production handover. • Maintain action lists, risk registers and milestone tracking through successful industrialization.10.Profit margin improvement• Coordinate for the profit margin project in the product family. • Align project owners and stakeholders, track planned actions and monitor progress against agreed targets. • Consolidate status, highlight barriers and support timely implementation of improvement actions. BE (Mechanical / Automobile / Mechatronics) Preferred: Qualification or Trained in Project Management, Product Management, Hydraulics, Operations or Business Management.Language Proficiency:English, Kannada and HindiRole Overview:- Manage the product portfolio and project execution for hydraulic external gear pumps, ensuring customer requirements, product availability, project timing, quality, cost and business objectives are achieved. Coordinate new customer projects, prototype and PPAP delivery, product transfers/localization, lifecycle activities, inventory optimization and cross-functional execution from project initiation through industrialization and handover to regular production. Serve as the coordination interface between customers, Sales/PRM, engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, planning, finance and global product teams.
