Practical Information: Location: Melbourne, Australia | Salary: AUD $120,000 - $130,000 per annum + superannuation | Reports to: Services Lead, ANZ | Work Arrangement: Hybrid | Language Requirements: Professional level English written and verbal | Learn more: softwareone.com/en-au SoftwareOne Australia is currently seeking an IT Project & Portfolio Manager to support the governance, financial performance and successful delivery of our ANZ Professional Services portfolio. Combining portfolio oversight with hands-on project management, the role provides visibility across project health, forecasting, revenue, margins, resources and delivery risks, while directly managing assigned technology projects through their lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include: - Manage assigned IT projects through their full lifecycle, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timelines, budgets and quality requirements. - Maintain portfolio governance across project health, forecasting, revenue, margins, resource utilisation, backlog and delivery risks. - Monitor financial and commercial performance, including forecasts, revenue recognition, cost overruns, margins and month-end requirements. - Provide portfolio reporting and facilitate project health reviews, ensuring risks, issues and corrective actions are appropriately managed and escalated. - Partner with customers, Services, Finance, Sales, Delivery Leads and resource teams to support effective project delivery and sales-to-delivery handovers. - Drive consistent project and portfolio processes while supporting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the business. What we need to see from you - Strong project and portfolio management capability within a Professional Services or technology delivery environment. - Strong commercial and financial acumen across project budgets, forecasting, revenue, margins and cost management. - Excellent project planning, execution, risk management and change management skills. - Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills across customers and internal business functions. - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify project, financial and commercial risks and coordinate appropriate actions. - Structured and organised approach with strong business acumen and the ability to manage multiple priorities. About You - You bring 4+ years of project management, portfolio management or delivery experience within a Professional Services environment. - You have proven experience managing large, complex or multi-year IT projects and overseeing multiple projects across a broader portfolio. - You have experience across project governance, financial performance, forecasting, resource management and delivery risk. - You have experience within technology environments, ideally across Microsoft Azure, Digital Workplace, Security or other cloud technologies. - You have knowledge of established project management methodologies and tools, with PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certification advantageous. - You enjoy balancing hands-on project delivery with broader portfolio responsibilities and working collaboratively across different business functions.
