Practical Information Location: Madrid, Spain | Work arrangement: Hybrid | Contract type: Full-time, Maternity Leave Cover – 8 months | Visa status: Valid working visa for Spain | Language requirements: Fluent/professional Spanish and English, both written and verbal We are looking for a People & Culture Business Partner & Country Leader to join our team for an 8month maternity leave cover. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to the business, aligning people’s initiatives with organizational goals while enhancing employee engagement and driving operational excellence. You will provide expert guidance on performance management, talent development, employee experience, and compliance across our Iberia organization, working closely with leaders and cross-functional teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and people-focused HR professional who is passionate about delivering impactful P&C initiatives and supporting business success. Key Responsibilities - Employee Engagement:  Drive employee engagement and retention by implementing people strategies, analyzing feedback, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives - Performance Management:  Guide performance management processes through data-driven insights, employee development, and workforce planning in partnership with Talent Management - Talent Development:  Strengthen organizational capabilities by managing talent pipelines, supporting succession planning, and partnering on learning and development initiatives - Organizational Development:  Support organizational design and restructuring efforts to  optimize  efficiency and align teams with business objectives - Compensation & Benefits:  Advise on compensation and benefits programs, ensuring internal equity, market competitiveness, and alignment with company policies - Country Leadership Responsibilities:  Lead country-specific HR matters, including employee relations, labor law compliance, benefits optimization, senior hiring, and union negotiations - Cross-functional Collaboration:  Partner with P&C Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Centers of Excellence to deliver seamless HR support and contribute to M&A integration activities What we need to see from you - Proven  HR Business Partner  or leadership experience, ideally gained in multinational and multicultural environments - Strong  expertise  in  Employee Experience Design , combined with a  people-first mindset  and a passion for creating positive employee experiences - Strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and translate them into impactful business decisions - In-depth knowledge of   Spanish labor legislation,  HR policies, and compliance requirements - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to influence stakeholders and build strong professional partnerships - Change management  expertise , with  a track record  of successfully guiding organizations and teams through transformation and fostering adaptability What we offer: Our company benefits vary based on your location, but always include: - Global company culture: We defined our 6 core values through our company culture ( https://www.softwareone.com/en/our-story/our-values ) - A mentor who supports your successful start and is at your side with advice and action - Flexible work:  Enjoy a flexible hybrid working model with  regular presence in our local office ,  fostering meaningful connections and strong relationships with our employees. - Lifelong education: A variety of training and development opportunities - Hire to Grow: We  optimize  our internal structures and feedback culture constantly to be your Employer of Choice, today and in future Job Function People & Culture Accommodations SoftwareOne welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and abilities to apply.
