Product & Strategy Associate

Sarvam AI•Bengaluru•On-site

About the Role

About: The CEO's Office is a small, cross-functional team that incubates new products, drives the engagements that matter most to the company, and builds the systems that set and raise the bar for how teams across Sarvam work and collaborate. Problems arrive from research, product, and business, and they vary widely in shape and scope. As an Associate, you are a force multiplier for the CEO: you take an ambiguous problem, give it structure, and carry it to a result. The work needs both breadth and depth. Breadth gives you context across the company and a clear sense of where the most important problems lie. Depth is how you deliver: you go deep on the ones that matter most and own their outcomes, working with the right people inside and outside Sarvam. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Drive 0-to-1 product and strategic bets from idea to a clear outcome, whether that ends in a working business line or a well-understood failure. The goal is to build an engine that comes up with ideas, researches and assesses them, builds and iterates on them, and takes the ones that work to steady state, often by handing them to a dedicated team. - Own key customer and partner engagements that are top of mind for the executive team. - Find new ways to use AI to set and raise the bar for how teams across Sarvam work and collaborate, and build the systems that make it happen. - Create the decks, memos, and prototypes that carry Sarvam's narrative to customers, partners, and government, and that represent the company. WHAT WE LOOK FOR - High agency: Ownership comes naturally to you. You drive work end to end, especially when the brief is ambiguous and the path is undefined. - Excessive curiosity: You are curious about AI and frontier technology well beyond what any job requires, and you follow new launches and research closely. You are eager to learn, and you are drawn to hard problems that new technology makes solvable. - Exceptional people skills: You write and speak clearly, collaborate well across teams, and build trust quickly, and you handle sensitive information with discretion. When a bet needs a team, you can lead it. - User obsession and agility: You start with the user’s pain points and reason from first principles about what would actually solve it. You use AI to build agents and products, and iterate quickly, and you keep going until you deliver real value and user delight. What We’re Looking For - 2+ Years of work experience & a degree in engineering is preferred. - Excellent communicator: confident on demos, clear in writing, equally effective with a business stakeholder and an engineer. - Genuinely curious about AI: you want to understand how the models work, not just what they return, and you can characterise model errors with precision. - Organised and proactive: multiple threads in the air, nothing dropped, no prompting needed.
