Science Communication Intern M/F
About the Role
Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems. The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit 🐈⬛. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously! We're a diverse team of 250+ brilliant minds from over 35 countries united by a single goal: to revolutionise computing with a practical fault-tolerant quantum machine. Are you ready to take on unprecedented challenges and contribute to revolutionising technology? Join us, and let's shape the future of quantum computing together!PURPOSE OF THE ROLE As a Science Communication Intern, you’ll sit at the heart of our science communication efforts, reporting to our Content Manager and helping plan, execute and continuously improve the production of content around Alice & Bob’s new scientific research and milestones. Your mission: turn our research into content that is accessible and engaging without ever losing scientific accuracy. Too simple and it’s wrong; too precise and nobody reads it. You’ll find that fine line between the two, and deliver high-quality assets with great on-brand design that both a curious newcomer and a physicist can trust. You’ll work with a range of people, from scientists who keep you accurate to creative partners and marketing colleagues who help make it engaging. We’re looking for someone with a passion for science communication, a penchant for great storytelling and design, and a strong appetite for making complex ideas simple. You take ownership, bring ideas, and care about delivering high-quality work. Join us as we build the future of quantum computing. The internship starts between January and March 2027 and lasts 6 months!
