Senior Manager, AI and People Transformation
About the Role
Key Responsibilities Translating senior strategy into clear goals and operating rhythms, leading high-impact People transformation and AI initiatives to simplify work, improve experiences, and create scalable capacity. Designing and leading end-to-end workflow transformations that challenge existing processes and integrate AI, automation, self-service, and enterprise systems to fundamentally scale how work gets done. Translating complex business challenges into clear future-state workflows, technical requirements, experiments, and cross-departmental implementation plans. Rapidly prototyping and testing solutions using AI and low/no-code platforms to establish best practices, validate concepts, and set technical standards. Partnering with senior People Team leaders and functional experts to align resources, set priorities, and move high-value opportunities from concept through division-wide implementation. Partnering closely with IT leadership to translate business needs into technical requirements, inform cross-functional systems design, and advise leaders on critical build-vs-buy trade-offs. Designing reusable, cross-departmental capabilities across People workflows to improve quality, performance, and scale rather than building disconnected point solutions. Establishing key metrics to track the operational impact of transformation, including process performance, capacity created, cross-functional adoption, and elevated employee/manager experience. Developing practical frameworks, standards, and toolkits that empower cross-functional teams to identify, test, and apply AI and transformation capabilities. The right candidate for this role will have 12+ years of professional experience, with 8+ years of progressive leadership specifically across transformation, operations, strategy or consulting, ideally within People/HR or a high-growth technology environment. Experience in consulting, program management, product management, or a similar cross-functional role, bridging business and technical teams to shape roadmaps, navigate trade-offs, and drive solutions from discovery through adoption. Strong understanding of AI and automation and the ability to translate emerging capabilities into practical business solutions. A builder mindset, with experience prototyping, experimenting, and rapidly testing new approaches to drive organizational change. Strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex, ambiguous cross-functional problems and scale performance across the Business Unit. Proven ability to influence senior executives, align cross-functional teams around a shared vision, and hold stakeholders accountable for outcomes without direct authority. Experience influencing senior stakeholders and bringing teams together around a common future state.Strong judgment and comfort moving between strategic thinking and hands-on execution. What success looks like You will help the People Team move beyond using AI primarily for individual productivity toward redesigning core operating models and driving high-impact organizational leverage. Success means delivering scalable, cross-functional solutions that eliminate manual handoffs, expand self-service, set clear operational standards, and unlock strategic capacity for the Business Unit. Over time, your work will establish a standardized, repeatable framework for evaluating, executing, and scaling new ways of working across the enterprise. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
