At SoftwareOne, we help organizations gain greater visibility, governance, and value from their software investments through Software Asset Management (SAM), procurement, licensing, and lifecycle management services. We are looking for a SAM Consultant to support our customers in managing software assets, improving compliance, optimizing software spend, and maximizing the value of their technology estate. As a SAM Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting customer engagements across Software Asset Management and software procurement services. Working closely with customers, partners, and internal teams, you will help deliver software lifecycle management solutions, perform license and compliance analysis, support procurement activities, and provide recommendations that help customers reduce risk and optimize costs. Key responsibilities: - Supporting Software Lifecycle Management (SLM) engagements, including onboarding activities, customer transitions, and delivery of project objectives. - Analyzing software inventory, entitlement, and licensing data to support compliance assessments and optimization initiatives. - Providing recommendations to improve software compliance, licensing efficiency, and software cost management. - Supporting software procurement, contract renewals, licensing inquiries, and software sourcing activities across multiple publishers. - Collaborating with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful service delivery and positive customer outcomes. - Contributing to customer reviews, knowledge sharing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives within the SAM practice. What we need to see from you - Full professional Japanese proficiency in both written and verbal communications (ideal if also equipped with working-level English proficiency but not essential) - Experience in Software Asset Management, software licensing, procurement, IT support, consulting, or customer-facing technology roles. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret software inventory, licensing, procurement, or compliance data. - Good communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
