Transformation Leads Regional Manager
About the Role
ABOUT THE TEAM OpenAI’s Transformation Leads help customers rethink what their business could do with AI. We work with executives and Heads of AI to build business reinvention roadmaps. For this, we provide Leadership Advisory and Collaborative Design support, with the objective to secure and accelerate new business models, including process redesign and culture change. ABOUT THE ROLE You’ll manage our Transformation Leads in America West and personally advise senior customers at our Executive Briefing Center in San Francisco. You’ll help a leadership team work through a business or cultural question and leave with a decision they can act on. When the question calls for deeper work, you’ll design and own the workshop that follows. You’ll be based in San Francisco and meet customers across the US West region. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL - Lead executive workshops where leaders try AI on their own work, as they might with an AI chief of staff. In change workshops, bring the people who do the work together to redesign a process, question an incentive, or test a new offering. Agree on who will try it and how they’ll judge the result. - Represent OpenAI on stages in front of large audiences and in smaller leadership meetings. Develop original ideas from customer work and bring them to life in talks and internal and external media contributions such as blog articles and podcasts. - Bring Product a concrete example of how a customer’s needs are changing. Work with the account team on the customer plan, while our Applied AI Architects and Forward-Deployed Engineers lead the technical work and our Deployment Leads ensure the rollout. - Build and manage the West team while carrying your own customer engagements. Assign priorities, support them with your presence and guidance and coach them to excel in their role. - Work with regional peers and partners to share approaches that led to customers’ success. Help the customer develop the human system of governance that can lead this change and any other in the future. YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF - You have helped executives rethink a product, service, or way of working with AI. You can explain what people had to change and what the customer learned by trying it, and you can tie it to concrete value realization. - You can inspire a large audience and earn the trust of a fortune 100 executive team. You ask insightful questions and adapt to fluid situations both internally and externally with customers within a tight delivery schedule. - You use AI yourself and can turn an ambitious idea into a small, credible test with a customer in a matter of minutes in every industry, LoB or function. - Have managed customer-facing teams while leading customer work yourself. You can name a decision someone you coached made on their own and was successful beyond both your expectations and theirs.
